When cloud sync is enabled, Invisible: Controller attempts to sync all user-defined settings with the cloud and other devices on logged-in to the same account running Invisible: Controller. This ensures all settings are backed-up and synchronized across tablets running in the same house.

Settings stored in the cloud when cloud sync is enabled include:

  • Location (used by weather widget)
  • Dashboard settings and widget layout changes
  • Favorite devices
  • Controller configuration (IP address, port, type)
  • User defined preferences (set in Invisible: Controller "Settings" tab)
  • Saved dimmer levels

Cloud sync does not store any data from IP cameras or other personally identifying information (beyond email address used for authentication).

All data is stored securely on servers running on Google's cloud infrastructure, and all communication with the cloud is secured via HTTPS encryption.
